Benoît Viaene (b.1971) is a Ghent-based architect and designer specializing in residential architecture, interiors, and bespoke furniture design.

After studying architecture at the Henry van de Velde Institute in Antwerp, Viaene developed a passion for materials, which has since become the primary source of inspiration for his work.

His interest in furniture design emerged as he recognized the need to create pieces with the right character to complement his architectural designs—working together to communicate his poetic vision of space. This marked the beginning of Viaene’s enduring quest for originality, authenticity, and craftsmanship across all his design endeavors.

In addition to his architectural work, Benoît’s bespoke interior and furniture designs are integral to his projects, reflecting his deep understanding of how objects and spaces interact. He crafts each piece and space with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that everything serves both aesthetic and functional purposes.
